<p>A fine quality Persian pure wool Saroq hand kotted rug in newly cleaned unworn condition c.1920. Hand knotted with close thread count, the design inlcudes a tripple diamond shaped medallion increasing in size from the centre of the rug and an interlocking floral design predominantly in soft red, blue, greens and champagne cream giving a smoky tone overall. Infills to the corners in tones of cream plus a broad border to the rug edge with a predominantly soft red background. Fine quality, typical of Saroq rugs from the North West area of Persia and presented in immaculate unworn, stain free condition and newly cleaned ready for use.  Measures 5' 9" long x 3' 8" wide. Stock number 43383.
