<p>A top quality Victorian figured oak sea - coast stick barometer with carved decoration, fully restored and working c.1885.  Carved pediment and finials to the top with bevelled edge glass window below providing a view to the barometer scale. Slim trunk with carved mounts to the top and base, thermometer box set to the centre. Decorative carved cistern cover to the base. Angled scales with weather predictions and reading instructions to each side of the large diameter mercury action barometer tube; twin remote action vernier markers. Matching scale to the thermometer with original mercury action thermometer. Bears the makers name Davis, Leeds, specialist in sea - coast barometers. Presented in immaculate condition fully serviced and working.  Measures 44" long x 8.5" wide at the pediment and 3" trunk width x 4" deep at the top. Stock number 41105.</p>
