<p>A rare late Victorian solid ash and leather game bird carrier c.1900. Ash base with cast brass snap opening cover to one end covering the hole, and long slot set to the full length. The brass cover opening to allow you to put the birds feet through and slid them along. Original leather carrying strap with ash bar to the centre. Presented in excellent original condition with a rich patina.  Measures 18" long x 2" wide x 0.5" deep at the base, strap handle measures 22" long from end to end.  Stock number 43320.</p>
