The carved golden polished oak case with scrolled over pediment to the top and complementing crest to the base. Engraved silvered dial with weather predictions sat behind a bevelled edge glass, which is set in a polished brass bezel; reading marker to the centre of the glass. Matching scale to the original mercury action thermometer.
