<p>A superb Venetian scene in oil on canvas by Noel George Bouvard, 1912 - 1972. Superbly painted with deep colours and excellent detail typical of the artist. Set on a late summers afternoon with a deep blue sky and the sun light depicted across the buildings with trees sat either side of the water; moored gondolas in the foreground and boats with sails on the horizon. Signed by the artist to the bottom right. Noel George Bouvard was the son of Antonie Bouvard and is recognised as an artist of architectural and landscape scenes, but like his father is best known for his Venetian scenes.
