<p>A fine original oil on canvas entitled 'Near Beddgelert, North Wales' by Cheshire born artist Walter J Watson (1879-1979). Superbly painted with a calmness typical of the artist and in a soft colour palette. Set on a summers day with sheep grazing in the foreground by softly flowing waters, trees in full leaf and mountains to the background. Signed by the artist and dated 1913. Walter Watson exhibited at the Royal Cambrian Society in 1910 and 1937 and at Walker art gallery in Liverpool. This example presented in superb condition and sat in the original timber gilt frame. Measures 31.5" wide x 15.5" high including frame. Stock number CS341.</p>
